I really love you, guys! :”) Thanks for the free shipping!
You’re the best!
Mathieu said on May 31, 2012
I must say that it’s a very nice collector’s edition, but I was wondering what can those who preordered the encyclopedia already can do. When the encyclopedia was annonced, it said in the post:
“Oh looks like you do have a final question “Wait a minute am I going to pre-order the encyclopedia to discover later on that it is included in a collector edition of ACIII? [...] The collector editions of AC3 are unannounced yet so I can’t really speak about them (or they will put a price on my head) but I can tell you that there will be no official collector edition including the Encyclopedia.”
Max3dmoon said on May 31, 2012
I knew this could haunt me back !
I owe you the truth when I said that we weren’t sure yet if we would be able (or not) to create a Ubiworkshop edition and therefore had no idea what it would include if it ever happens.
We discussed the topic internally and came to the conclusion that it wouldn’t be a problem to cancel the order and “upgrade” to this new offer especially with the free shipping because we thought it would save money for a lot of people.
Does that sounds fair ?
Mathieu said on May 31, 2012
Yes, don’t worry, that is fair enough
Ellen Li said on May 31, 2012
While I’d like to pout and go, “No, still not fair,” I suppose I only have myself to blame. I was relying on your post and preordered the Encyclopedia when it was first announced and then went to preorder the the game at GameStop.
Since I’m pretty sure there’s no remedy for people in my situation, I suppose I’ll just have to suck it up and deal with it.
Here’s to hoping you guys announce more collector’s editions in the future that’ll rival the Europe-exclusive “Join or Die” and “Freedom” Editions.
Mathieu said on May 31, 2012
I preordered mine at Gamestop too… However, I know I can cancel my preorder and transfer my deposit on another game preorder. I now have a month to decide what I’ll do…
hisako said on June 1, 2012
while I’m glad that we can cancel our preorder on the encyclopedia so we can instead buy this bundle, I don’t see anywhere on the order status page to cancel, only reorder. I sent ubiworkshop an email about this yesterday. Seriously, does this mean every single person has to email you guys to cancel an order? That’s way more work for you guys than it should be. How long will it take for them to eventually get to my email?
Chrislewis said on May 31, 2012
Those who have pre-ordered the Encyclopedia can cancel their order and pre-order the Ubiworkshop Edition.
Mathieu said on May 31, 2012
Ok, thanks for the information ^^
LooneyTexan said on May 31, 2012
I pre-ordered The Chain too… gosh, i prefer a connor hoodie in this edition than an encyclopedia
but it doesn’t look like it would ever happen.
Justin said on May 31, 2012
Same, I have already preordered The Chain and the encyclopedia.
And now this great offer comes along…
elad shoham said on May 31, 2012
I was looking for an edition with the Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition.
Anja R. said on May 31, 2012
predicted the Encyclopedia part but the Comic is pretty cool
still, not ordering ^^;
keeping the Freedom Edition
Jason Nguyen said on May 31, 2012
hey Kuro. I lives in the US. is there anyway to order the Freedom edition and have it ship over here? what website do I need to go to?
Brendan said on June 1, 2012
would love to know about this too
Esteban said on June 1, 2012
Try amazon.uk or eBay. But the shipping will be expensive!
)
(You’ll feel what we feel when we want to buy stuffs on ubiworkshop! Mouahaha
Mathieu said on June 1, 2012
There are regions for blu-ray. Does that restriction apply to ps3 games too?
katia said on June 1, 2012
All PS3 GAMES are Region-Free, but DLCs aren’t. Keep in mind that if you get a european version of the game you will need to buy PSN credit from a European PSN Account…welp that’s what I was told…..
Jose Mejia said on May 31, 2012
I have already pre-ordered everything, so this isn’t for me, but if I bought this, i would save $78.79 :/
Wolf said on May 31, 2012
Sorry, but that’s not worth it to me. The cost plus shipping would bump it up near 150.00 for me. I would rather have something with all that AND a statue in it, THEN it might be worth it to me.
Max3dmoon said on May 31, 2012
Shipping is included (worldwide)
Wolf said on May 31, 2012
Yeah, I saw that after I reread it. I blame fresh contacts.}:P
Wolf said on May 31, 2012
Er, even with free shipping, it’s still not worth it. Sorry.
Wolf said on May 31, 2012
Err, ok, free shipping is still not worth it to me. Especially since you have a habit of overselling the preorders and not being able to fulfill them in a timely fashion.}:/
I’ll wait for now. Maybe I’ll change my mind in a few months. Who knows, I am female after all, changing my mind is my perogative.}:P
Wolf said on May 31, 2012
Ok, in discussing this with the husband- we’re debating the merits of ordering, and we do have until July 4th after all, we have a question-
Does the FREE SHIPPING extend PAST July 4th? It’s amibiguous on the email and the order site.
tylin rust said on May 31, 2012
i was wondering the same thing ???
J Edge said on May 31, 2012
Is there no Ubiworkshop edition for the PC version? I would be all over that!
Luke said on May 31, 2012
Me too! Though I’d have to cancel my AC Encyclopedia.
efthimis said on May 31, 2012
its a good edtion but i have already ordered the freedom edition and im planning to buy the join or die edition too so i cant order this too
MysticHeero said on May 31, 2012
awesome news for people over america way, and for those who wanted the encyclopedia and game. Especially with the free shipping. Would be tempted but I have not only pre-ordered my Freedom Edition I’ve also paid for it and have both the Chain and Encyclopedia on order here too.
Zent Zoltrix said on May 31, 2012
Hey, I have a quick question, I have already ordered the encyclopedia, where do I go to cancel that? and does the game come with extra single player missions like the ones you get when you order at gamespot?
katia said on May 31, 2012
I would like to know where to cancel or upgrade my order as well, I’m really interested in this offer but so far I’m quite clueless as to were am I suppose to go to do it…would greatly appreciate any help regarding this
thanks!
Danny Cifuentes said on May 31, 2012
thank you for this
.. but i dont think im getting it tho … i really appreciated tho ..
Mark said on May 31, 2012
My biggest question about this is what DLC with it have? I know the Gamestop version will have the “Lost Myan Ruins”. Will this include “Ghost of War”, the “Sharpshooter”, or “A Dangerous Secret” like the European collectors editions will have? I would love to have the option to get all the DLC missions in one stop, but if that isn’t the case then I might have to pass.
Mark said on May 31, 2012
will * it have?
Wolf said on May 31, 2012
The Best Buy version gets the Ghost of War mission, and the ability to unlock Pontiac’s War Club.
Jason Nguyen said on May 31, 2012
I got an email from someone that work at ubiworkshop.
There will be no DLC’s for this edition. Just the game and the 2 books.
Wolf said on June 1, 2012
WEll that clinches it for me then. Not preordering this set.
Mark said on June 1, 2012
Chrislewis, would you be able to speak to this?
Mark said on June 13, 2012
So no then?
kevin said on May 31, 2012
hey i already pre ordered the freedom edition and there was this thing called the red coat multiplayer pack. anyone heard of that, get back to me! thanks
tylin rust said on May 31, 2012
so nothing just for america is comming out this year?
Luke said on June 2, 2012
This is very surprising, considering that AC3 is set in America. Or perhaps Americans don’t like having their history changed…
Wolf said on June 2, 2012
Pfft, yeah right.
Meanwhile state governments are busily trying to rewrite history here as we speak.
Daniel Nelson said on June 1, 2012
When will the preordered game get to my house?
Julien MARTINS said on June 1, 2012
Une version française de “Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition” et ”Assassin’s Creed Subject Four” ou “AC The Chain” est a prévoir ou il faudra ce contenté de la version anglaise ?
Esteban said on June 1, 2012
Julien MARTINS said on June 1, 2012
Merci pour la réponse, c’est dommage mon anglais n’est pas le meilleur au monde… j’ai peur de le prendre et de ne pas comprendre tous les petits détailles, étant un grand admirateur de l’univers créé comme beaucoup de monde ici…
Esteban said on June 1, 2012
Utilise Google Trad’, meme si c’est chiant. L’anglais est vraiment la langue la plus facile a apprendre et TRES TRES utile dans la vie!
Genevieve said on June 1, 2012
Awesome Ubisoft! Pre-ordered
Jordan said on June 1, 2012
How exactly does delivery of the game happen? Are we expected to receive it by the official release date?
Chrislewis said on June 1, 2012
Yes, it will be shipped a few days before release date.
David Donohue said on June 2, 2012
Is that worldwide or just Canada/U.S
Im from Ireland XD
Jason Nguyen said on June 6, 2012
worldwide
Corneliu Comendant said on June 1, 2012
As i said before in the topic on the forums i have already ordered the encyclopedia, i already own the Fall – Deluxe edition. And i’m going to buy The Chain and the Freedom Edition for PC from Ubishop.
Still this is a good bundle for my friends who own Xbox and also want the books :D
Rahim Esmail said on June 2, 2012
Just wondering is the comic the complete versions of “The Fall” and “The Chain” or is it a a merged and reduced version of both in one book.
Alex said on June 4, 2012
I’d like to know this too and if it will be sold separately at some point.
David Donohue said on June 2, 2012
Are the dev team nearly finished with AC3 yet any admins have the answer I would be delighted to hear
RaeAnne Fox said on June 3, 2012
I just preordered the join or die edition.. I need to win the lottery at this rate.
Mason Tackitt said on June 5, 2012
The only way I would preorder this set is if it came with the DLC, otherwise im gonna go with gamestop
Tristan said on June 5, 2012
It’s probably too much to ask if you will make any other US editions? I would hate to preorder this then see another awesome edition like a week later. It looks awesome though such a great deal.
Lizette said on June 5, 2012
I’m really on the fence right now.
I’m seeing all these awesome European editions for AC3 that I can’t get my hands on since I’m in the US, and I had my game pre-ordered and paid in full at GameStop the week it was announced.
So besides the “GameStop” edition with all the digital content and steelbook, and this edition with the books, will you have a Collector’s Edition for NA that includes the Connor figure, Washington’s notebook, or any other physical trinket?
I mean, the game IS set in North America? Can’t we get an awesome collector’s edition á la “The Freedom Edition”? Is that an unreasonable thought?
(As neat as this edition is, I already have the first version of the Encyclopedia, and the individual comics of The Fall.)
András Perlaki said on June 5, 2012
I’ve already pre-ordered Freedom ed. but you really made me thinking here
Michael said on June 7, 2012
Do you know/can you let us know if this will be the only special edition released in America? Because I was wonering if I should pre-order this or wait for something to be announced.
Al said on June 15, 2012
They’ve already confirmed twice on the Official Ubi forums that there will be a special edition for America. Apparently the contents will make heads roll and jaws drop. I suspect the reveal date will be July 4th. :p
I was wondering about the Ubiworkshop Edition. If there will be any extra stuff in the graphic novel and if there will be a collectible box? Guess we’ll just have to wait for an unboxing video? :p
Lexter said on June 18, 2012
I knew it, there will be another edition aside from Ubiworkshop edition.
and about the collector box of ubiworkshop edition, Yes, they include a collectible box for it. I saw it on the twitter feed, Ubiworkshop confirmed it and announce soon.
Chocoburger said on June 26, 2012
Oh there WILL be a special edition of this game in America, huh? I thought they
would have revealed it by now! Especially with GameStop, Best Buy and Ubisoft already
accepting pre-orders for so long. So this is a ‘jaw-dropping’ edition? I was *just*
about to pre-order this Workshop edition right now, I’m glad I saw this.
I really hope they reveal what this edition consists of before July 4th.
Al said on June 28, 2012
Yep, UbiGabe also confirmed on his reddit page that a CE for NA will be announced in the near future. That’s 3 confirmations now, so no need to worry!
