    It is a good flag – and as @kuro said its just a piece of cloth. If it was offensive or made with the intention of being offensive etc then its a different matter, but its not so….

    Uh… It’s not an ‘official’ US flag because it appears that the entire star field has been removed and replaced, something thing anyone with a modicum of sewing skills can do.  Heck, for all we know, the entire thing was made from scratch anyway.

     

    Therefore, not really in violation of the Flag Code.

    @pedgz except the red coats aren’t Templars…. there just happen to be a few Templars in their ranks, as there is in the Revolutionary army.

    i was mentioning it on the context of the american revolutionary flag above since the assassins’ emblem was there. of course, if any creative mind can incorporate both the templar cross in the revolutionary flag and the assassins’ emblem in the red coats’ flag, all the better.

    @wolf I’m not sure if the Flag Code appliss to only the current flag the U.S. is using or any version they’ve used before? Wasn’t there a flag almost exactly like the one used for ac3 promo except without the assassin insignia?

    Also something else they don’t show in most articles is that the flag is included with some sort of letter/CoA and a wooden box branded with the Assassin insignia.

    For the record, this is something that Ubi is sending out as a press kit/promotional kind of thing. As for the flag code, I’ve seen pictures of the full flag laid out. I’m pretty sure that it’s not the right proportions to actually be considered legitimate. (The length must be 1.9x the width which just by eyeballing it doesn’t seem to be right and the star field seems off.) Either way, it may be tasteless but I don’t think it’s illegal.

     

    Personally, I’m desperate to get my hands on it!

    But like. I don’t think there’s any problem with it. I mean it’s not like Captain America’s ever caused a stir and anything with the intent of resembling the flag on clothes counts as well.
