A new achievement and points reward system has appeared on the website 4 months ago !

 

In this (long post) you will learn as much as we know regarding both amps and achievements !

 

WHAT IS THE AMPS ?

 

The Amps are points you can earn buy doing some actions on the website.

 

WHAT ARE ACHIEVEMENTS ?

 

By doing certain actions on the website, you will win an achievement, which gives at the same time some Amps.

 

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS ?

 

As far as we know, we will be able to use them at some point, but for what purpose is still unknown.

 

HOW DO I EARN THEM ?

 

Not by private messaging me, that’s for sure. You will learn everything just under this sentence.

Actions that gives Amps (last update : 27/12/2011) :

 

First of all, each action has limits. You can do an action a certain number of time before it does not give any amps. Those “limits” sometimes are daily, sometimes permanent.

 

-Uploading a new avatar = +40 amps

(only work once) 

 

-Liking a news or content = +2 amps

 (works 5 times in a day)

 

-Sharing content = +5 amps

(works two times in a day)

 

-Daily connection = +5 amps

 

-Posting a picture = +10 amps

(does not work anymore)

 

-Group/Forum Post = +10 amps

(works 5 times in a day. Editing counts as a new post)

 

-New group/forum topic = +5 amps

(works two times a day)

 

-Comment on News Post = +10 amps

(works 5 times a day) 

 

-Doing an order= +20, +50, +100

(depends on the amount of your order!)

ACHIEVEMENT

 

-Choosing ninjas or pirates = +25 amps + Achievement “ninjas” or “pirates”

(This can be done in the “profile” section)

 

-Changing side = +0 amps + Achievement “turn cloak”

(You have to change the side you chose)

 

-Friending Volt = 25 amps + Achievement

(He’s not a bad robot)

 

Liking 25 contents => Achievement Liking LVL1

Liking 50 contents => Achievement Liking LVL2

Liking 75 contents => Achievement Liking LVL3

Liking 100 contents => Achievement Liking LVL4

 

Amps’ like-earning Explained by @pedgz :

I gained same number of amps equal to the number of likes required to reach that level (e.g., reach level 1, gain achievement and 25 amps; level 2, 50 amps)

 

 

-Connecting every days for a week => Fidelity LVL1 +25 amps

-Connecting 7 extra days => Fidelity LVL2 +25 amps

-+25 amps each time you pass a level

-The last fidelity achievement is LVL9

 

-Completing every information on the profil : Profil Complete +50 amps

(If you don’t have any gamertage, or psnid, just write it in the blank)

 

-Subscribing to the newsletter : +25 amps

 

-Commenting 100 times : Chat Master +100 amps

 

Sometimes, you can win the “No points…” achievement, this seems to be a bug of some kind, since you receive no email, and it’s not written it the achievement list in our profile.

Of course, gaining Amps also gives you a Rank.

 

500 Amps makes you a Regular

1000 Amps makes you a Prospect

2500 Amps makes you a Premium Prospect

X Amps makes you a Platinium Prospect

5500 Amps makes you a Gold Prospect

7000 Amps makes you an Elite Prospect

8500 Amps makes you a Member

10500 Amps makes you a Premium Member

12500 Amps makes you a Platinium Member

Now that we know how to win them,  you will be spotted as a spammer quite easily, and it will be pointless to spam just to reach the top users, since many of us are here for almost 4 months and are daily users.

I think it’s like the picture, you can do it only once in a day.

For now, it is used to established a rank between users.

 

Maybe it will be like Uplay points, to gain some bonus like being able to preorder sooner, get gifts, or things like that.

But I’m not sure about gift, because it would mean we just have to spam comments everywhere to get points…
