    or used for some redemption thingy. 1000 amps good for a 10 dollar voucher or something of that sort. or 1000amps for a free AC eraser. *shrugs* or maybe we get to buy certain items in a private sale before they are opened to the public. exclusive stuff for exclusive people like us.

    I’m not saying they should remove everything, instead they should put more restrictions in place. Such as only earning amps for a completely new post, not merely an edit. Or lowering the max number of times you can earn amps for posts entirely. I guess I just want it to be more difficult to earn amps so I’m happy to hear that likes don’t generate amps anymore.

    if they’d take the amps for editing stuff or only made us able to gain amps for new threads the site would be spammed as hell, we already had some incidents before (quiet a time ago luckily)

    That’s not what I meant. They do give amps for editing the same post and I think that makes it too easy. Sure they cap it at 50 amps but I think we shouldn’t receive amps for editing. Otherwise someone can just type in a single word or even delete a word and be rewarded for their “efforts”. As for creating new threads, I don’t think we should get amps for that. That way people’ll only create threads because they’re a bona fide troll, bot, or are looking to start a nice discussion. I think they did the right thing not granting amps for likes and should continue to make things a bit more strict.

    Another thing they can do is keep everything the way it is but make the amp-to-reward ratio low enough. Like every 1000 amps gets a $1 discount. Or they can make it so that you only gain amps for fidelity and buying stuff, but in turn award slightly more amps or raise their exchange value. The worst idea that I hesitate to bring up is to make most of the rewards pratically meaningless unless you have a lot of amps to unlock higher tier rewards.

    @v1sav1s there are daily limits on how many amps you can earn on doing various tasks such as posting. As @kuro said we used to have lots of trouble with people spamming the site just for amps some time ago that we have since managed to significantly reduce with the wonderful people at Ubiworkshop sorting it out and listening to what we suggest.

    Why shouldn’t we get amps for creating a new thread? If you get points for posting a comment then making a thread should have points too.

    In my opinion, I think it’s not a bad idea to get amps when you edit your post. reason is they already limit the points per day, (50 amps per day / 5 post a day) which is reasonable because of the spammers. now, I’m sure ubiworkshop just wants us to be active in their website and for us we just want to gain amps because of this unknown reason. Think about this, all we want is to collect and gain these 50 amps per day and if we couldn’t get it by editing our post then some of us will just post 5 comments to reach the limit per day. and I’m sure most of it will be considered as spam just to get the 50 amps, it is better if we can get that 50 points by editing at least we will not spam the forum with unnecessary comments, after all there is a limit of amps.

    I suppose it’s a tradeoff then. But I think it’s better to only award amps for buying things (lots of online stores do this). Do we really need these amps to encourage us to post on these forums? Most of us would probably say no. We’re fans, so we’ll post whether we get something out of it or not. I feel amps should be more exclusive and not something that is given so easily as they are now.

     

    Like I said earlier, I think it’s better not to get amp for creating threads because people won’t be tempted to make threads solely for amps. So far it doesn’t seem like a problem but I think that’s because most – if not all – of us are not spammers. It may get worse as more people join this site as many of you may be aware of this. You go to any forums and you’ll see several spammers making multiple threads for no reason at all (and they aren’t even bots).

     

    Another thing they can implement, when the rewards system is announced, is to put a limit on how many amps you can spend per month. That way even if some people abuse the system to get tons of amps they wouldn’t be able to use it freely.

    I agree not to get amps when creating threads, @v1sav1s already mentioned the reasons and that’s very true.
    But in my opinion again, I will disagree for the idea that we will only get amps when we purchase items from the store. unless ubiworkshop announce what is the use of these amps and the rewards are incredibly amazing or unique.
    we still don’t know what are these amps for, I’m sure there is a reason why we are collecting these or why we can get it easily.

    I wonder for how many years now our top users collecting their amps.
