rrrrrrrr scruffy-beard-desmond (L)  XD Would have loved to see that in the game. Also that look he’s giving shaun is priceless.

And the revelations face was horrible :/ I actually switched to calling him mustafa or names like that >_>

I wonder what went wrong. Does mr randez have copyright on his face or something? :/

Characters modeled after Francisco Randez in Assassin’s Creed:

    • Altair
    • Desmond

Characters modeled after Francisco Randez in Assassin’s Creed II:

    • Ezio
    • Desmond
    • Altair

Characters modeled after Francisco Randez in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood:

    • Ezio
    • Desmond
    • Altair

Characters modeled after Francisco Randez in Assassin’s Creed Revelations:

    • None.

at the start of Revelations in Desmond’s story, they used his exact face from Brotherhood And he looked badass with the black hoodie to go along with it. now he looks like hanafi (we arabs give this name to anything that looks like a typical Egyptian) i mean they had him modeled after a great Successful Model what more could they ask for?? I just don’t get why they changed his look, eyes, jaws. You can’t just change the way a character looks in the middle of a series. If he looked like that from the start, then hell yeah, sure whatever, that’s fine. But it just seems inconsistent. Because, to me, Revelations Desmond looks absolutely NOTHING like Desmond in AC1, 2, and Brotherhood. i paused the game for 1 hour burning with anger and cursing at everyone who green lighted the change from ubisoft. :-@ its just not fair, i think something went on with them and Mr.Randez

now we will never see that smirk and bad ass grin on his face ever again, while at it why not replace Nolan north too!.

video games cut scenes never looked so immerse and stunning like what they did in Brotherhood

I hope they get back to his original face with AC3

AC3 will be all about desmond right? It’s hard to imagine having to look at the revelations face all the time. Already makes me glad the desmond sequences were 1st person xD

Like you guys, I’m really baffled as to why Desmond got a new face in Revelations. He had his original face in early Black Room trailers, and even the opening cutscene had his original face with a small amount of facial hair (due to being in a coma for so long). Some people have tried to dismiss it as a graphical update, but it doesn’t seem that way to me.

While we’re at it, did Kristen Bell quit or something? Is that why Lucy died?

either that or the stars of the show wanted more money for their appearance in the games and they request was turned down by the game makers… so, they had to make some changes.

They changed the render engine they used to create the chars faces. Seriously guys, they talked about this- back before ACR even was released!, it’s been mentioned numerous times. It’s a completely new engine used to create the chars so they are more ‘expressive’.

Complaining about it repeatedly, isn’t going to get them to revert to the old engine.

Yup, like @wolf said, they changed how they render the whole thing, so I don’t think there will be many changes there :c

ah, no wonder.. well, as long as the game is good, i’m not bothered if the characters looked like they went for a boob job, a tummy tuck or facial hair transplant.

I am in no way a computer expert or even an adept at computer rendering etc but I can remember someone saying that Ubisoft changed their rendering engine or something like that so that it would have more freedom of expression, which is certainly true, but that because it was so different from their old system they were having difficultly getting things perfect….

…..I may be wrong but I thought it was all explained before revelations came out?

you believe the engine upgrade lol

how about you go back and check all the other character around Desmond, they are look the same from all AC games, he was the only one who was changed, i don’t see how his eyes got tilted and jaws got expanded as an engine upgrade.

I’m sorry but isn’t that kinda strange? I knew that about the engine but… come on… graphics from ac2 to brotherhood changed dramatically too and they still managed to make the faces look like the old ones. I can’t imagine that you can’t reconstruct certain facial features just because you’re using a new engine. If you put revelations desmond in different clothing I’m sure I wouldn’t have guessed who that’s supposed to be. He doesn’t look like his old self at all and that’s just… weird

Altair looks different too, but Desmond’s change is the biggest. Besides, Francisco Randez did say that he doing it for his personal interest, not for getting the maximum amount of money. Even if he did ask for more pay, I don’t see why Ubisoft should change Desmond’s face–AC is an extremely profitable franchise.
