    Remember the hidden blades that everyone was talking about, but UbiWorkshop didn’t want to produce them due to legal issues? Well, they’re now being manufactured and set for release in either July or October this year, under the name “Ezio Auditore Gauntlet Replica”. While it’s not quite the same as ammnra’s blade, for this price there ain’t much to complain about.

    They actually are–it’s on the top of the page. Google “Ezio Auditore Gauntlet Replica” and you’ll see blog posts and other sites that sell it.

    What legal issues?

    These toys are produced by NECA and were supposed to retail at $30 but most sites I’ve seen are taking preorders at amore than triple price. Lowest I’ve found so far is $60. Haven’t included shipping/tax either.

    Gamestop’s got the definitive release date at this point–NECA just said they’re delaying the release date to coincide with AC3, so we won’t be getting hidden blades this summer.

    Someone on CE.org claims to have some sorta informant that there will also be a Connor tomahawk replica. I’m guessing if it is true that it’ll be produced by neca and announced at sdcc.

    It looks cool but I don’t really like it as cosplay

    It will of course be too big again for me and just dangle from my arm, also: see that pointy thing poking out all the time? (aka I don’t like the tip of the blade showing, it’ll be a hassle during free running n stuff)

    Though as a simple replica to put to my collection I’d get it XD

    While it is tempting it would probably be far too big for my arms. It does seem to be a good price and fairly well detailed.

    Gonna have to wait and see how they turn out after release… Unfortunately, most neca products don’t turn out anywhere near as good as the prototype pics they use for promo.

    @mysticheero: how about you put them on after a long-sleeved shirt, hoodie or something?

    Would still be too baggy on me as this product would have to be unisex and men generally have chunkier arms then women. Plus if I was getting a hiddenblade or making one then I’d want it to fit perfectly or I be annoyed.
